We were looking forward to a much-needed getaway and a chance came up to visit Derby and stay at the Dales. It was going to be our very first time on mountain bike trails. What a rush! We get it now! And it wasn't just bikes, Miranda worked the pump track with her blades.
Then, on Tuesday morning we woke up to blue skies and a beautiful mist rolling up the river valley. The wattles were flowering and the coffee was plentiful!
The family is growing up. We now have jobs, sports and lots of nights out; talk is often about the future. So it's very precious to have these times of adventure, learning and a bit of living in the moment. May there be many more days like this!
