Tassie’s top 6 beers (according to Martin)

Here they are, and you’re welcome!

Moo Brew . Single Hop

It comes in a large can (always a plus!), and I’d describe it as simple yet full bodied, bitter yet fresh.

Little Rivers . Pale Ale

A light, citrus ale, perfect refresher for after a ride on the trails.

Bruny Island Beer Co. Oxymoron

This one’s made for late in the arvo on a cool evening... a real fave of mine!

By the way, these guys also own the Bruny Island Cheese Co. and between the two, are reason enough for a visit someday. Drop in for a beery, cheesy lunch and then head further south to check out the lighthouse and magnificent rugged coastline. Epic!

Hobart Brewing Co. Tascadian Dark Ale

Seriously creamy, aromatic goodness!

Little Rivers Milkshake IPA

This one’s a limited release so you’ll just have to call into Little Rivers Brewery on the way through Scottsdale and see if they have any on the go. I love this soft and full bodied beer after a hard ride on the trails. Reward in a bottle!

Van Dieman Brewing . Motor Mouth IPA

Crack one of these as you’re sizzling sausages or a juicy eye fillet steak. A BBQ match made in heaven!

And if you rock up to Derby without stocking up on your boutique beers beforehand, never fear. The Dorset Hotel is a buzzing little pub worth your time. Say hi to the owners Brooke and Sean who are true locals and just the kind of characters you hope to meet in an authentic Tassie pub. They serve great meals too.
